In a 2025 Wake Forest study of healthcare workers with elevated stress, 72% of the Cereset Research group reported a meaningful improvement in stress scores — compared with 27% of the waitlist group.
The trial enrolled 144 people and used four 36-minute sessions. Improvement meant at least a four-point reduction on the self-reported Perceived Stress Scale at 6–8 weeks. The study was not blinded and did not use a sham intervention; its results do not predict an individual client's experience. Read the published study.

Publication and trial totals cover Cereset and its precursor technology research, as reported by Cereset.

A mirror for your brain, made of sound
During a Cereset visit, there is nothing to practice and no task to get right. Your Tech Coach guides the visit while you rest.
Your brain is heard
You recline in a zero-gravity chair while small sensors rest lightly on your scalp, reading your brain’s rhythms in real time. Nothing goes into your brain — no stimulation, no drugs.
You hear it echoed back
Patented BrainEcho® technology translates your brain’s activity into musical tones you hear through headphones — a mirror made of sound, unique to you in that moment.
Time to rest
There is no task to complete or skill to practice. You can close your eyes and rest while your Tech Coach oversees the session. Individual experiences vary.
Made for brains that won't switch off
You can’t sleep
Tossing and turning, waking at 3 a.m., or running on a few hours a night. Many of our clients say deeper, more restful sleep was the first change they noticed.
Stress has you stuck
When your brain gets locked in fight-or-flight, "just relax" doesn’t work. Cereset helps your brain release stuck stress so calm stops feeling out of reach.
The fog won’t lift
Trouble focusing, scattered thinking, low energy. A more balanced brain may help you feel clearer, sharper, and more present through the day.
You’re running on empty
Caregiving, work, grief, life. When you’ve been carrying too much for too long, an hour of true rest — and a brain reset — can be a turning point.

Meet Brenda Hanning
Brenda has helped Indianapolis-area clients relax and rest for more than a decade — first as Balanced Matter, and since 2018 as Cereset Carmel.
She found this work the way many of her clients do: through her own family. What she watched change in someone she loves — and then experienced herself after her own sessions — is why she brought Cereset to Carmel. "Cereset is a relaxing process, and most of our clients fall asleep during their sessions," she says. "It is hard to imagine someone who could not benefit."
Brenda has been featured in Carmel Monthly, Zionsville Monthly, Decided Excellence, and Carmel City Lifestyle, and works with every client personally as a certified Cereset Tech Coach.

Everything people ask before their first visit
How do we know it works? What research is behind Cereset?
Wake Forest researchers have studied Cereset Research and its precursor technology since 2011. A 2025 trial enrolled 144 healthcare workers with elevated stress. After four 36-minute sessions, 72% of the intervention group had at least a four-point improvement on the self-reported Perceived Stress Scale at 6–8 weeks, compared with 27% of the waitlist group. The trial was not blinded and did not use a sham intervention. The published study is linked in the research section above; its findings do not predict an individual client’s results. Cereset is a wellness service, not a medical treatment.
What happens at the $99 Introduction to Cereset?
The introduction includes an orientation with your Cereset Tech Coach, a baseline brain observation, your own Personal Brain Index® (PBI®), and a recommended plan. Your Tech Coach will explain the observation and PBI, answer your questions, and discuss next steps. There is no obligation to continue.
How is Cereset different from neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback includes several approaches. Some traditional systems use feedback to help a person practice changing brain activity toward a chosen target; other systems are passive and do not use a fixed target. During Cereset, BrainEcho® technology translates measured brain activity into sound while you rest. There are no exercises to complete. Ask a provider about the specific system, session plan, and evidence rather than relying on the label alone.
How much does Cereset cost?
The optional Introduction to Cereset is $99. Call (317) 922-7588 for current Carmel package pricing, what is included, and available payment options. We’ll explain the recommended program and its cost before you decide whether to continue.
What does a session feel like?
You recline in a comfortable chair while sensors monitor activity at your scalp and you hear tones through headphones. The sensors do not deliver electrical stimulation. There are no exercises to complete, and you can close your eyes and rest. Ask the team how much time to allow for your appointment.
How many sessions will I need?
Your Tech Coach will discuss a recommended program, the number and timing of sessions, and any follow-up options. The $99 introduction includes a baseline observation and time to ask questions before deciding whether to continue.
